Dear Alamosa Park Families,
The 2018-19 school year is underway at Alamosa Park. We had tremendous turn-outs at Back-to-School Night, Dine Out, Principal Coffee, and Ice Cream Social. I am so delighted that you are a part of our amazing and hawksome learning community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education. Everyday I get to enjoy working with your children. I am truly fortunate!
All signs point to another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff is teaching and working with your students to ensure that every Alamosa Park student reaches those academic and social/emotional stars.
The new electronic marquee is now up and running. It is a wonderful source of daily information and it looks so much better than the 30 year old one it replaced. Thank you to you, our AP families, for funds raised through the Alamosa Park Education Foundation (APEF) that were used to purchase the sign.
Installing solar panels at Vista schools has been put off until next summer. This undertaking by our district will get us off the grid and reduce the cost of electricity. Good for the schools, great for the environment! The plan is for solar panels to go in the front parking lot with room for cars to park beneath them.
Student Safety Reminders
The safety of our students is our number one priority. Safety is also a team effort. You and your students are key players in staying safe! Below are a few safety tips I would like to share with you about morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Together, every child can have a healthy, happy and safe school experience.
