Dear Alamosa Park Families, I hope you and your family are doing well and enjoying the start of Thanksgiving Break! The purpose of this email is to notify parents and families about:
Community Update from VUSD Superintendent, Dr. Doyle (11/24/20): Esteemed Parents and Staff, We have prepared another Community Update that provides information in the following areas:
From this Community Update, you will see that all VUSD secondary schools (middle and high schools) are pivoting to virtual instruction after the winter break, starting Monday, November 30. I would like to remind our community that Alamosa Park and all elementary schools will continue with Classic students on campus on Monday, November 30. Alamosa Park Virtual-enrolled students will continue with Virtual learning on Monday, November 30 as well. I just wanted to make sure that our community knows that instruction and student learning will continue as it has been since October 20 at Alamosa Park. Thank you very much for your continuous support of our Alamosa Park students. New COVID-19 testing center in Vista – Linda Rhoades Recreation Center - 600 North Santa Fe Avenue – Open Seven Days per week, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. VUSD has successfully launched the opening of a new COVID-19 testing center in Vista at the Linda Rhoades Recreation Center located at 600 North Santa Fe Avenue. The testing center is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., free, and no appointment necessary. They have a great team of security staff to ensure your safety while at the center. As Dr. Doyle has communicated in the 11/17/20 Community Update, our community leaders have demonstrated their commitment to robust collaboration to make this happen; it is now our responsibility as members of the community to do our part to collaborate on the use of the testing center. I would like to encourage our community to visit the Vista COVID-19 testing center at Linda Rhoades Recreation Center to receive testing for your family. I appreciate your consideration.
