Dear Alamosa Park Families, Thank you to all of our virtual- and classic-enrolled students, families, teachers, and support staff for the nice transitions this week to in-person for Classic-enrolled students, and to virtual students for continuing their virtual learning work. The purpose of this email is to communicate the following:
Dual Language Immersion (DLI) -- Interest list starting for the 2021-22 school year for Grades K, 1, and 2 The Alamosa Park DLI program provides an excellent opportunity for students to become completely bilingual in Spanish and English while being on track to receive the California State Seal of Biliteracy upon High School graduation. Our 90/10 DLI model provides a DLI learning pathway for students to learn Spanish with 90% of the instruction in Spanish (10% in English) starting in Grades K and 1 and reducing to 80% of instruction in Spanish in Grade 2. If you will have a student in Grades K, 1, or 2 for the 2021-22 school year, and are interested in learning more about our fantastic DLI Program and being added to the Alamosa Park DLI Interest List for 2021-22 school year, please contact Principal Ruggles at [email protected] or 760-940-0700 x49001.
