​Attendees: Sonia Rodriguez, Mo Barongan, Amber Carreno, Erika Lamberty, Dr. Kyle Ruggles, Estefani Garcia, Paige McCabe,
Jocelyn South, Brittany England, Bevin Mowbray, Erica Moore, Josh Monasmith
 
Meeting Call to Order- 3:02

❖ Updates - Dr. Ruggles 
  • There are +470 students
  • 1st day for classic students went smoothly with the exception of recess time, there was backups socially distancing didn’t happen very well- will improve upon in the coming days; they will separate children between those that bring lunch and need to buy lunch
  • All classic student went over and signed Student agreements: to wear masks, wash hands, bring and use water bottle etc. 
  • Students have access to free breakfast, snack and lunch for this school year.
  •  Picture Day for virtual and classic students set for December 3rd and 4th. There are 12 classic classes and 8 virtual classes will be set at certain times, socially distanced, mask etc.
  • Coffee with the Principal had been postponed; will pick back up via Zoom, will send out a link to join the meeting 1 week before
  • No volunteers are allowed on site at this time per Dr. Ruggles and Dr. Doyle
  • Running club/PE  each teacher(classic) has a set time for running; will further see with staff if there is a way to keep track of running virtually
  • Staff Luncheon? No congregating allowed everything is virtual
  • Absences counted 3 ways: Present 1- present and working; Present 2- not turning in work, Not present; Present 3- NOT present and NOT turning in work, Sick
  • If students present with symptoms they stay home for 10 days or doctors excuse, if the student has symptoms that are not COVID related they can be doctor excused and continue attending school
  • Parent teacher conference at this time set for Zoom, distance as much as possible
 
❖ Discussion:
  • Budget; 1 check pending budget for the 2020-2021 year $25,000, spent $10,002.16, earned $2,413 from Spirit Wear, Dine Outs and Wells Fargo donations, remaining $17, 411.25
  • When purchasing items for foundation you need approval/vote to spend money and get reimbursed
  • Hawk Run Grants need to allocate money to classes(before 10% would go to the winning classes) this year it will be changed up a bit money will be going to all classes
  • Dine Outs: 1st Killer Pizza $391.66, 2nd Chipotle $230 next dine out Rubio’s 11/18/2020
  • Staff Luncheon; continue discussions to see what we can try and provide
  • Yearbook- Entourage- organize the photos- vote by Nov. 1st 
  • Room Parents-support teachers-survey and hear back from the teachers; 2 teachers interested with pilot program[Paige McCabe- she has 2 parents help her out-1st parent emails events dine outs and fun events 2nd parent classroom celebrations, directory for classroom-there are families that opt out]directory works to keep kids and parents in touch
  • Website membership digitally- look into this so we can eliminate paper forms- look at doing this through google
  • Red Ribbon Week October 26th-30th 
  • No Halloween Costumes this year
  • Next meeting: Tuesday, 11/17/2020 @ 3:00 pm
 
❖ Voting items:
  • Voting items postponed; not enough voting members.
  • Cannot approve minutes; unable to establish a quorum of voting members 

❖ Items voted on between meetings:
  • Hawk Masks vote passed 10/02/2020 to purchase 100 masks $399.44 (50 adult, 50 child) Mo B. made motion- Brittany E. 2nds the motion- motion passes
  • 2nd set of enrichment Gift cards for teachers vote passes on 10/15/2020 releasing the remaining $2,000 amount toward gift cards Erika D. made the motion- Jocelyn S. 2nds the motion- motion passes
