Dear Alamosa Park Families, I hope you and your family enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving and Fall Break! The purpose of this email is to notify parents and families about:
As described in the most recent, 11/24/20, Community Update, you may know that there is a travel advisory in effect in California right now. The Community Update states the following: In response to the rapidly growing number of cases, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have issued a number of important advisories. The CDC is advising against travel for most people during the Thanksgiving holiday and the CDPH has advised that: Persons arriving in California from other states or Californians returning from other states or countries could increase the risk of COVID-19 spread. In addition, travel itself can be a risk for exposure to COVID-19, particularly travel through shared conveyance such as air, bus or rail travel. Persons arriving in California from other states or countries, including returning California residents, should practice self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival. These persons should limit their interactions to their immediate household. Friendly Reminder (Travel Advisory): If your children traveled outside of California during the Thanksgiving break, I ask that you follow this guidance and keep your children at home from school for 14 days following your return to California. Please note that this guidance does NOT apply to travel within California. If your children did travel outside California during the Thanksgiving break, I request that you please call the Alamosa Park front office at (760) 940-0700 to report your child’s absence. Classic-enrolled students resume in-person learning at Alamosa Park tomorrow, 11/30/20: I would like to remind our community that Alamosa Park and all elementary schools will continue with Classic students on campus tomorrow, Monday, November 30.
